As AI, computing infrastructure, data centres and high-speed communications develop, the global cable industry is entering a new round of technical change, from high-speed copper to optical links and from material innovation to connection upgrades.
Hosted by the Dongguan Humen Information Transmission Cable Association, the 2026 Cable Industry Frontier Technology Conference runs on 5–6 November at Dongguan Longquan International Hotel, with SZCIA as a supporting organisation.
The programme is organised around two tracks on optical-electrical convergence, together with an industry gala dinner. The venue is at 46 Liansheng Road, Humen, Dongguan, with travel guidance for high-speed rail, air and car arrivals.
For connector and material companies, the value of such cross-industry events lies in discussing cable, connector, optical module and test issues in one setting, making it easier to judge where a material or interface solution fits in a real system.
