On 24 October, the China–ASEAN embodied AI robotics session and the launch of a planned book on technical regulations, standards and test methods took place in Nanning, with more than 240 delegates from universities, research institutes, standards bodies, testing and certification organisations and robot companies.
The event included the book's project launch, editorial board formation and appointment ceremony, with opening remarks from Guangxi Minzu University and the Guangxi data authority, and video addresses from academician Ding Han and Nguyen Quan of the Vietnam Automation Association.
Sessions covered structural intelligence and dexterous hands, key technologies and innovation ecosystems, standards architecture and test-method standardisation. A roundtable addressed China–ASEAN standards coordination and market entry under the RCEP framework.
The series is planned for 2027, together with test and evaluation indicators, export regulation and certification guidance, to help robot companies understand ASEAN market access rules and certification requirements.
